I saw this deal and decided to think it over night. Bad choice. Back to full price. Maybe next time.

Back to 229@cpo. Thanks GJ!

Noticed it dropped to 229 on my Amazon wishlist but when trying to purchase there it comes up 299. Tries CPO site and back to 229.

Mine arrived last night. It's a good deal. Thanks OP!

Now, who has a lead on a great deal on the wheeled stand?

I did hear about folks using their Workmate for a stand. That may work fine.

Got mine today!

Great saw, ive seen these on the jobsite for years. Every pro millworker I know has this or the newer Sawstop.

Question tho: How loud is yours?

I fired mine up just to see if everything works before storing till the next project. Granted I was in the kitchen, but the drone and decibels seemed very high?
Tested mine today. It sounded like a jet engine was being murdered.

All the posts about the noise had me worried, so I went out and plugged mine in to check. Absolutely no noiser than any other portable saw (this is my 4th DeWalt) that I've owned. It's loud, but not as loud as I would be if I had to use a handsaw.

I jThey charge your credit card fast but don't ship fast if you are randomly selected.

It's likely not a charge but rather a verification hold on the card. If they did not ship your credit card will not be charged.

You must live in a state where sales tax is not charged. Most states do charge sales tax and the buyer is responsible for paying it if the vendor does not collect it. In several states they have put on the on state income tax return now, so failure to pay the tax is income tax evasion :-(

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think the direct drive, lack of enclosure, and firing it up in my kitchen... on hardwood floors.... inside the house made it all sound worse than its typically jobsite environment.

Looks good. If you want to limit the number of pieces, Fernco also makes couplers that have two different sizes:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Fernco-2-in-x-1-84-in-dia-Flexible-PVC-Coupling-Fittings/1000075331

That one looks like it would fit your saw, and the other side might be the right size to go on the outside of your vacuum hose end.

If you do leave the shop-vac adapter, it would be best if you cut off the unused smallest end(s) so that the opening into the hose is as large as possible. The smaller the orifice, the greater the vacuum - but the lower the CFM. The saw wants high CFM, which is why the saw has such a large vacuum port in the first place.

Thanks for the tips. I will test it out soon and report back.
