Those of you that have purchased this box. Is it sturdy enough to hold mechanics tools or will the drawers sag.

I'm using mostly for my wrenches since the drawers are slim and they are not that heavy. the bottom drawers seem to be tough enough for my battery charger/porter cable and makita polisher. I'll probably load it up with more stuff

Looked at one of these yesterday. They are nice boxes for the money for sure. If it wasn't yellow with Dewalt plastered all over it, I'd put on in my truck, maybe 2.

I thought about painting it, but decided I've got enough "projects" and work to do and don't have time to fool with it.

Ordered the bottom cabinet this morning as local HD inventory seems to be decreasing. Keep an eye out for additional markdowns next month as HD seems to be making moves to clear out inventory and probably make it available only online as they have done for other boxes.

I'm feeling the same way. Too flashy for me.

While I was at HD I checked out this box http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-41-in-16-Drawer-Tool-Chest-and-Cabinet-Set-HOTC4016B1QES/205080371#customer_reviews

Seemed a little better than the Dewalt. Does anyone have experience with it?

Finally found a top box this morningQUOTE]

Just curious, what's your plans for the top box? I have some interest in the yellow bottom box at the right price for a mobile work space but the yellow top doesn't match too many bottom boxes.

I put it on top of my harbor freight 44 bottom box. depth wise its about perfect but its not quite as wide. I'm going to make a wooden top for the top of the remaining area on the side of the top box and the top of the side box. I'm am pretty happy with the setup so far.

Thanks, now I can visualize how useful that top chest can be. Can't beat that for just 125.

Quality wise would this compare to anything seen at Menards? Or perhaps which of the Craftsman boxes could anyone compare this to?

I have a 60" tall Vidmar box that I use for all of my automotive type tools and I have a late 70's Sears/Craftsman badged 26" stack that I use for overflow junk that was my Dad's. I was thinking of picking up the Dewalt to hold my drills along with the overflow and then put the Craftsman out in the shed for the tools I use outside. I am just trying to justify the purchase a little. I like the top box that I can easily store all of my drills up there.

I think it is on par with the Master Force.....and for the money I do not think there is a better box out there if it works for your needs.

actually interested, but it looks like many pros cons here. well I'd better find another reference to convince.

Last time I checked they are not available online and limited quantity if any in the HD stores. Got my bottom roller on hold.

Anyone know of a lock cylinder that will work in the top box? It has a different kind of lock than I've seen before.

Grabbed the bottom, they didn't have a top anywhere nearby. Guy said they ordered more the day before though so they should be getting another shipment soon. Hopefully it's still the same price.

Ship to store is no longer working, says the top is no longer available online.

In my area the top box has changed from unavailable online for the last few days to ship to store availability. The color is challenging but together they should look fine especially for the price. I've tossed a few ideas around to tone down the high-vis color like painting the drawer faces on the bottom box Dewalt black or just grow to accept it.

Have you tried to add it to your cart? Mine allows to select ship to store, but then gives an error in the cart.

No I'm not in the market for the top but thought that would help you....stay tuned since HD tool boxes have a habit of clearing out then reappearing as online only sometimes.

There's a guy around here trying to sell the set on Craigslist for $750! He claims he paid $900, and he has multiples.

Guess he wants a good return on his investments. The DEWALT tool boxes are a rarity in many parts around here

Unpacked the Dewalt Bottom roller today. It was packaged well in the box with Styrofoam and was in perfect condition. Fifteen minutes to install the castors + handle and it was ready for loading. Its not as tough as the HF 44 but probably one of the best bottom rollers for 225 plus I got a spot for some Dewalt power tools.

Note 200lb bottom drawer does OPEN full-extension when needed

That is sweet.......... Wish I would of got a couple of them (at least 1). Just didn't know what to do with the old one. Anyways, like the yellow......... not just because of Dewalt. Cause I'm a sledhead and have owned Ski Doo's since 1971.

I called customer service, and they told me they would be available again after the 1st of the year.

No locations in my area have the top box.

I did see one bottom.
