The guy at my local Dewalt service center went over this with me in detail. It's pretty easy but I can't remember exactly how to read it. Post what yours says and I'll remember.

Its usually stamped on the bottom where the battery slides on.

Yes, it is. It should read something like "2014-34". That'd be the 34'th week in 2014.Its usually stamped on the bottom where the battery slides on.
