Looking to add a few of the yellow bellys to my collection.

With black friday/christmas around the corner is there ever any deals on these golden colored tools that might as well carry the price of gold?

Only interested in the 20V/60V series. Only deals I have ever seen are only saving $10 or $15 dollars. Is it better to buy the 'sets'?

Thought I would ask you guys for some advice, thanks.

I've bought several Dewalt items from CPO Outlets the last few years, most of them yard tools and from the reconditioned list....zero issues with any of the refurbs so far.

Let's see...a weed wacker, hedge trimmer, blower, and a drill...some even with refurb battery packs and all in the 20V Max series.

Kits are always a better deal than buying everything individually. The most recent promo I've seen at HD was buy a certain kit and get a free bare tool or battery

Im thinking that DeWalt may have a MAP price policy because just about any place that advertises the stuff sells it for about the same price.
On the other hand, I bought my first 20V Max stuff at a local tool dealer that does no advertising other than hand written signage in the store. I got the 1/4" impact, 1/2" hammer drill, 2 batteries, charger, and the sawzall for like 200 bucks. Home Depot and Lowes didnt even carry the stuff for another 6 months, and when they did the price was about the same, but didnt come with the sawzall.

Home Depot had a great deal on the string trimmer and blower with 5ah battery a year ago. Trimmer and blower each with a 5ah battery and charger for $250.

I bought the impact and regular drill in a bag on Amazon for 140 with two dewalt wrench sets thrown in. Just the drills is normally 180-200 range. The new stuff no deals to new.

Check you local industrial supplier. My local one does a twice a year set, buy a bare tool get the battery free, or steep discounts on sets.

Most of the Dewalt stuff I see on sale are the lower end versions. Quick example, the drill and impact driver combo kits usually contain brushed versions and the drills with plastic chucks. The dcd996 hammer drill is the cats pajamas and light years ahead of the dcd780 commonly found in one of those combo kits.

Watch the Dewalt Black Friday and Christmas special kits at HD. They will have a red triangle that says Special Buy on them. BF used to clearance just after Christmas and Christmas deals came a month later. To get the great deals, you have to check inv at multiple stores almost daily, watching for the price drops and inv being bought up. It takes a lot of time or inside info.

Lowes has some deals right now...buy an XR angle grinder, XR oscillating tool, XR compact recip saw, or XR circular saw bare tool and get a free 6.0AH battery.

That's about the only thing I've seen in a bit.
