I am in the market for a track saw. I don't really want to spend more than 600$ as this is for my home shop. Dewalt has never let me down, but I don't have any experience with this model.

It is capable of ripping a 8' sheet in all directions, so it is very appealing. It is also a zero clearance. Price is right, free shipping!

I have used the festool and it worked great. But reading the reviews about half of them say it works as good as others at half the price....

Anyone have this model or used one?

Before someone suggests a panel saw, I have one available for my use. I have a table saw, but don't really have the dedicated room for a table that makes ripping big sheets easy.

I have the makita and the festool ts55, i'd get the makita over dewalt, usually the same price and made in england. I use both saws everyday and makita is everybit as good as the festool

Check out this recent thread, a few chimed in about their experience w/ track saws.

As I stated in that, I would probably go for the Festool if looking you are at Dewalt, Makita. Simply because its not that much more, its a better product, and the resale value will trump the others. Festool resale is like Snapon.

I did some research and think that the Grizzly/Shop Fox version is the best compromise if not going with the Festool.

Report back if you do grab one!
