Dewalt vs Bosch brushless impact

Looking at a new Brushless impact like this one:

Not sure about the Bosch I do like the 1/2 drive with 1/4 drive wished the Dewalt had that anyone used either one?

Or other ones from these that are good?

I've got the Milwaukee standard brushless with 2 speeds. It's really a nice tool. I bought it last year during the Christmas sale at home depot for $99 with two batteries.

I most likely will wait till after Christmas and get the extended warranty.

I think what is going to make the biggest difference is what system you want to buy into. What other tools do you want? I like my Bosch 12v but really wish it had the depth of tools that milwaukee have. On the 18v side I really like all the different tools ryobi has but don't like the power on some of there standard tools. I've also heard some people complain that you can't use sorry bits on the Bosch combo driver.

Yeah, HD had some pretty awesome "deal of the day" promos last year. They're sing it again this year but I haven't seen anything of particular interest this year. However if you're in the market they have the combo kit on sale for under $200.

On the bit side, I've tried a lot of the combo sets and think they're ok. The Dewalt and Milwaukee are decent, I would stay away from the cheap ones. For the bits I use most I stick with a US made brand called Qualtool, they have a Qryptonite impact rated version that are awesome. They last so much longer than the garbage you get in sets.

Oh, and I'm not sure exactly how short the bits can be for the Dewalt but I would bet they can use just about any size since it uses the standard quick release Chuck.

I'm gonna be a milwaukee fanboy and say go with the m12/m18 line

That bosh square/hex is a good idea in theory but it really just looks like a 1/4" hex driver with a square drive around it. It won't touch a real 18v 1/2" impact like the milwuakee high torque.

If you just want to keep it to one tool the 18v ridgid hex impact offers a pretty good bang for your buck.

The hex inside the square is such an awesome idea. I wish all the companies did this.
