You suppose I might be able to get Home Depot to allow me to grab a 2-pack of 20v, 3AH batteries (actual $99 priced) as a substitute for the 1-pack they have sitting next to the tool that's also priced $99?
Maybe, when I wanted to switch Dewalt miter stands, same price, as part of a miter saw deal... two HDs said no. The one included in the deal automatically is deducted in the system, whereas the other they would have to mark it down. Anyway, bought, returned and got my folding stand.
Tool does come with a 5AH pack, plus a limited-time offer gets you an additional single 3AH pack.
When it was all said & done I couldn't trick the register into giving me the $99 2-pack instead of the $99 1-pack...but the manager did offer to sell me the 2-pack for $50 in addition to the regular offer.
That netted me a total of 4 new batteries plus the trimmer. The extra batteries will be very useful with my other 20v tools.
