DGP Grinding Wheels Worth the Money?

Does anyone use these for sharpening tungsten's...they are over 5 x the price of other diamond wheels. How necessary is a diamond wheel for tig tungsten 3/32 or less sharpening?

Nice but not essential unless you are doing lab quality work that requests it for weld purity purposes.

All mine are done on a zirconium belt sander though aluminium oxide works just as well. I sharpen in batches and cheat a little using my battery drill to turn the tungsten against the belt. Zero fuss and done in a few minutes. No reason it wouldn't work against a stone, I just prefer the uniformity of using the flat surface on the belt.

The nortons are provided through the company I work for.

As for the ones in the link provided, I'll tell you as soon as I receive mine. I'm going to order a 6x1" for my tungstens at home.

Down load there catalog for there entire list of wheels. They have quite the selection.
