I had a meeting with Diablo today, they have been trying to get us on board for a while. They went on and on for 2 hours about how their blades, abrasives, hole saws etc. are so much better than Dewalt, Lenox etc.

I have never used any of their products but they seem t have a fairly large market share, anyone have experience with Diablo? I am not sure we will take them on at our Denver store but our Mountain store sure sells a a lot.

For the money I don't think there's anything in their category. I have switched almost anything with a blade over to Diablo. That being said, I get all of mine from Home Depot and their prices are pretty good.

Have a Diablo on my chop saw, love it. Went right through some really hard woods we were doing floors in a house, still going strong. I have used the Sawzall blades a few times, pretty good too.

If i have a choice, I will buy a diablo blade. They are well made tools and live up to their reputation. Freud makes good products.

Well the pricing is actually better than Dewalt and Lenox from what I was told. They have MAP pricing (minimum advertised pricing) so they should be the same everywhere from what i was told though! :lol:

I'm a Lennox blade guy. I have their blades on everything.
Long story short I had to buy some long sawzall blades at work one day and I went everywhere to try and find Lennox but ended up having to get a pack of diablos called "the torch" and they worked really well, I'd give them a shot again

It is only advertised. You can sell it over the counter for whatever you want. They "should" be the same online pricing everywhere if you are authorized seller, but we all know how that works!

Is it for any specific blade as in circular saw, saws all and so on? I have been a working carpenter professionally for years now and have used every kind of blade there is to use for any tool that uses a blade and have never noticed a difference as long as you are using it for what it was designed for.

I use diablo blades daily in a sawzall to cut PVC pipe and occasionally to cut a 2x4 for bracing. They last a lot longer than Lenox and Milwaukee for sure and definitely provide cleaner cuts. Diablo all the way for me.

I bought one for the first time a couple months ago for a circular saw. The saw is the cheapest crappiest saw ever made from what I can tell (thanks walmart). I have gone through a few blades and tried a diablo and I blown away by how much better the saw works now. I have even sliced through some old nails and screws that were buried in some junk wood I was trying to fit in the trash. The blade sliced some of them in half, completely un phased. I like the "make it to last" mentality, as long as they keep making quality products they will have my business.

their cold saw blades are really nice. i have some in chop saw table saw and also all my circular saws. some of their high tooth count 10 and 12 inch make me cringe when i buy them. they are for sure more money than the dewalts and the advanti pro that home depot carry. once they are worn, they cut like any other used blade. new for new, the diablos make a cleaner cut from what i can tell. do a lot of wood floors so cuts have to be clean.

I use just about every blade out there and diablo hold up pretty well, sigh :sad: wish I could find Forrest at local garage sales but that will never happen; those suckers cost an arm a leg, Michigan front row football seats, the first born child, your car and the release of any funds in your pension account.;)

Personally I havent found anything better than Diablo for circular cutting tools, circ saw, table saw, miter saw etc.

That being said I was extremely disappointed in there recip blades. I think Milwaukee has them beat hands down in all areas for recip blades. I had really high hopes for them and they did not last well, cut clean, or cut fast.

I havent used there hole saws that I know of mainly because Lenox has such a quality product I havent strayed and the Diablo ones look like the Lenox hole saws from previous generations but they could be a gem I havent found.

I've switched from Dewalt to Diablo in my table saw, and I've been very pleased. I actually need to pick up a new blade for my miter saw, and I plan to get a Diablo for that as well. I have Diablo, Dewalt, and Lenox blades for my recip saw, but I don't use it frequently enough to favor one of them yet. I have been using Diablo sanding pads for my random orbit sander, and I'm very happy with how they have performed.

Just recently, as in last week, send a 12" miter saw blade back to Diablo because it wasn't cutting as well as before. Recieved a brand new blade in the mail this week. A+ customer service gets my vote every time.:)

I believe that Diablo is Freud's less expensive line of blades, the ones available at Home Depot. I have used a their circular and reciprocating blades and they are good quality, although I haven't been terribly impressed with how long they stay sharp.

However, I would strongly endorse the Freud Professional line of blades. I have 10" models for my miter saw and my table saw and they yield great cuts. I wanted a Forrest WW2 blade but for the same price I decided to get both a Freud rip and a crosscut blade. I think if you want to run a single blade the WW2 is the way to go, but it's hard to beat the Freud specialized blades if you are willing to take the time to change them.

I have used both Freud and Diablo blades and they are very good blades. As stated, the Diablo blades are Freud's cheaper line but are still very good blades. I prefer the Forrest line and they are better blades but they cost a lot more also. I don't think you could go wrong with the Diablo blades.

They gave me a couple demo carbide tipped recip blades and on the back of them it says "swiss made".

Judging by what you guys have said sounds like they are pretty good company.

Diablo blades are good for run of the mill ****, like framing or decking.

Anything critical, I go for Matsushita or Forrest.

I run Diablo for all of my circular and reciprocating blades. They're good enough that I wouldn't switch to DeWalt/Lennox/Milwaukee/Bosch/Morse even if Diablo raised their prices to be twice as much as the others.

It took me a long, long time to give them a shot, but they've earned my loyalty.

I haven't used their sandpaper because I've only ever seen it in discs. I buy sheets.

Haven't tried the grinder or cutoff wheels yet because I bought a huge stockpile of DeWalt some years ago that's going to take me another five years to burn through.

I just cut a Ford Explorer full frame with a Matco air saw and a Diablo blade. Not quite like a hot knife through warm butter, but it sure did the job quite well indeed.

I was super impressed.

Diablos are not bad, have used quite a few on numerous tools.
Then again I have seen a guy use a trim blade to rip framing lumber and complain about the blade.
