Dial Indicator Parts?

I got these parts in the bottom of a small tool box that was in a larger tool box I bought a while back. Are these dial indicator parts? They look to be just by judging from my little Mitutoyo dial indicator but man these things are massive compared to it. The bases are very heavy and they look to be machined on the sides to be able to slide on some sort of rail maybe? I figured someone here would have some insight as to exactly what this stuff is. The only name I could find on anything was some of the smaller chrome parts was "Starrett".

I also see a broken edge finder in three pieces, looks like it just needs a new spring to hold them together.

Thanks for the id guys. I had no idea what these things were. I will probably put them in the classifieds as I have absolutely no use for them.
