Dialight and AZZ LED Lights-Keep or Sell?

I inherited these from my dad, they have been in a climate controlled warehouse for years, new in boxes. Three have never been wired up. They are WAY overkill for my garage, but DAMN they are nice! Prices I’ve seen on line for a couple were $1500 and $2500, others seemed to be discontinued or not listed. Is there even a market for these if I did decide to sell them?

You'd be very lucky to find a buyer who would use them as they were intended to be used. They are a little out of date for that purpose. However, that modern-industrial look is very "in" right now, so you might be able to get a nice amount for them as a decorative fixture. From what I can tell, they're 6000 Kelvin, which is very very cool in color, even blue to some people. That would probably be a negative to most people.

That makes sense, looks like I'm keeping them, which is what I really wanted to do anyway...

Can these lights be repaired if they burn out? We have fluorescent fixtures that we have retrofitted with LED bulbs, but the true LEDs that we have that have failed, we have just replaced. I don't really understand how LEDs work, can new diodes be put in there?

No.
Well, technically speaking, if a driver fails it can probably be replaced if you can find one with the correct output. And also, if you had a diode fail, you could really tear into the fixture and maybe remove the entire diode array (it might be glued and screwed), if you could find the exact replacement. Both of those scenarios are highly unlikely and probably not worth the effort.
Those are high level quality fixtures. I doubt you'll ever have that problem. They'll probably outlive you.

The reason they were so expensive is they are designed for hazardous locations, that always adds to the price.

I was really looking for an excuse to keep them. One is rated for 100,000 hours. That’s 8 hrs a day 365 a year for 33 years. At 54 and still working, I’d say they will last me.
