diamabrush vacuum shroud port size

My 4.5 inch grinder works well with the Diamabrush shroud, but the vacuum port on the shroud does not fit my Ridgid brand vacuum hose. Neither standard nor car detail hose fits. I am gonna duck tape it in place, but wonder why the size is not standard. Has anyone else experienced this?

It was an odd size on my 7" as well. Had to use tape to seal it as well

Manufactures have not developed any standard yet. You will have to piece it together. I choose the complete Dewalt system because of your exact dilemma, glad I did.

Our Dustless shroud comes with a nice adapter. We are working with Diamabrush to develop an adapter for this shroud too.
