Some time ago someone here posted a link for diamond or carbide 3" cut off disc's for use on a die grinder but I can't remember the brand or where to buy. I heard they last forever but are expensive. Any one know?

I use one of the 4-1/2" version on my angle grinder at work. This is all I will buy from now on from the safety factor alone. I was cutting in a vise when the grinder caught on something slamming the cutting wheel into the vise. I was shaken but okay, if that were a bonded abrasive style that I normally use it would have been a trip to the ER to remove it from my chest and stomach. After that near miss, I will pay the extra to not have the risk of exploding cut off wheels.

They don’t last forever. They do last a very long time.
They are not good at cutting deep into very hard material.
Thinner stuff they are great but as you cut into thicker stuff, if you try to do it in one Stu and start heating the thing up you can start to loose diamonds. It’s not the diamonds that fail, it’s the epoxy
