Please help...
Read a lot before I started this project and decided to rent the diamond grinder to get the best prep I could before applying Rocksolid polyurea. After several hours and lots of elbow grease I am what I think finished. After a power wash and dry there are small spots most 3-5 in. round over entire floor where floor was slightly uneven. Also on edges where wheel would not get. Do most of you have same issues? Seems I could grind for days and never get all these out?? Should I worry about them as most of floor looks good??
Thanks,
Justin

You need a small angle grinder with a diamond cup to get the edges, where the floor buffer can't reach. I can't tell you about the spots you have, I didn't have any of those when I did my floor. I had some uneven areas but they were not small spots like you describe.

My floor had different ares of hardness and would grind well in some areas and hardly remove any material in other areas. I just got is as good as I was able and checked for water absorption after I had finished. The floor sucked up water everywhere I tried it so I went ahead with the epoxy. The floor came out great, so I guess I did OK.

Are the spots going to be that noticeable after the coating is applied?

Unfortunately they are important. Best results would be from a 4.5 in Diamabrush wheel on a slow grinder going over all of those spots. Otherwise a 4" or 5" cupwheel.

I suggest that because your floor must be relatively hard from the amount the grinding did not take off and diamabrush is likely to scratch that floor easier without digging into the floor and leaving ring marks. The small diameter of the wheel enables you to get into those dips.

If Menards doesn't have what you need you can buy a cheap 4.5" angle grinder from Harbor Freight for about $15.
