Anyone use this stuff? I was wondering how durable is the self-sticking adhesive backing on textured & painted sheetrock with hot & cold seasonal temperature changes? The baseboard is the last touch for my Race Deck garage floor. Any other possible baseboard material that would resist moisture?

Johnsonite has a product they call molded millwork. It looks like a traditional wood molding but is made out of rubber. You can't tell the difference from 5 feet away even in the woodgrain patterns. I just used a couple of thousand feet of it in a commercial building and it looks great.

Another option is to use something like Azek to make your own baseboard out of. Depending on how it prices it out, I'm leaning in this direction.

I've had the Diamond Life brand diamond baseboard for about six months now with no problems......seems to stick well. I wished I had a better picture to show you but the stuff sure looks good!

You could always apply cove base adhesive to the diamond plate before you attach it to the wall. The stuff comes in tubes (like cauking material) and is easily applied with a cauking gun. I installed the vinyl cove base to the rough-textured T-111 walls in my garage with the stuff and have had no problems. The material is available at places that sell commercial floor covering.

Just out of curiosity after looking at tha Azek....what kind of price range is it. I looked thru their gallery and it gives me some ideas. It does look good.

Glad to hear it worked out. I'd like to know what prices you paid and how it was to work with. I've been told it can be machined (cut, routed, etc.) like pine or poplar lumbar. How about some pics?
