I have two of these 4ft. lights in my garage and they are pretty bright. I bought the "daylight" bulbs though so they could be even brighter if I got a bulb with more lumens. For $25 each I think these are a steal. I'm trying to find an 8ft light like these but I'm not having any luck. These are good quality lights and they look alot better than most of the cheesy fluorescent lights.

I've got 23 of these myself. I went with sylvania 40W 4100K bulbs. They are a little slow to get fully lit if the weather turns cold, but overall they are worth the $25. You can get the same basic model without the chrome diamond plate for $20, but I thought extra $5 was worth it, they do look cool. Actually I wanted the T8 style units, but they were were just too expensive. More on that here on this post .

I purchased t8 shop lights from Lowes for $29.00 & the lights are instant on in the cold weather. Also they put out some nice light.

I have 5 of these in my 19 x 25 attached garage. I had my contractor that did the wiring and drywall flush mount them to the ceiling. It turned out very nice.
