I want to add a polished diamond plate "base board" kick at the bottoms of the walls in the garage

I think I like the idea of some sort of a fastener instead of just construction adhesive to screw it to the studs. But I haven't been able to think of what would be a cool looking fastener....any ideas???

I'd just use a self tapping sheetmetal screw of appropriate length. They will blend right in and you won't see them. I have alum DP as a back splash on my bench. If they ever get rusty, screw them out and put a new one in.

Well I will be the party pooper here. I like DP clean with no screw heads showing so I would glue it. Of course if you ever grow to hate it and remove it, figure on a lot of drywall repair. Stainless steel screws won't rust, but stainless does "stain" with oxidation/liquids hitting it, so SS has to be buffed back to a polish when needed, if desired. jmo
