Hey there,

I've been looking for a way to dress up the shop a little besides paint. I ran across these Diamond Plate trim pieces, not sure if they look like hell or not.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GHH-Wall-Base-Board-Aluminum-Diamond-Plate-48-00-Length-4-50-Tall-Ea-/330698627962?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item4cff2c9b7a&vxp=mtr#ht_1426wt_1110

I'm thinking of running as baseboard along the floor and maybe even crown molding if its looks good.

Anybody else using these? Do they look good in person or do they look cheap?? Is there a better place to buy them, cut them to size myself?

Thanks

Mm

I became a diamondLife dealer because I had a client that wanted it in his garage that I was making over. We had some issues with the lamination on the slat wall, but everything else worked great. Don't use the peel back adhesive. You're better to get a liquid adhesive for a better bond. Let me know if you have any questions or need other information. Thanks much.

Been thinking about putting some diamond plate (or something) on the wall around my sink area (behind it and beside it). I have the uncanny ability to spray water everywhere while rinsing parts.

Good topic. Interesting, albeit spendy, links!

I found a local source to shear me some pieces of diamond plate and then screwed them to the wall. What I bought was almost an entire 4x8 sheet and 100 bucks but it's not thin stuff.

I love that backsplash you have for your workbench! I finished mine a couple of weeks ago and I ended up doing white Pegboard above the bench and below my shelf above the bench. If I would have seen yours first I think I would have done it differently.

Nice job, I'm going to use that idea around one of my machines.

Check out TreadWare, just picked up ~100 ft baseboard + preformed corners and corner wall corner protectors for 21x37 shop <$300. Pretty happy with the price...too bad I'm already out of fashion ;)

Hoping to get a recommendation for a source for joining diamond plate sheets. I'm planning on covering the bottom 4' of my garage when I do a winter garage make over and using ABS boards for the base trim. I want this to be water very water resistant. I've found a couple of companies that offer aluminum or stainless steel panel joiners, but damn are they expensive! There is a huge selection of plastic panel joiners, but they are all sized for wood wall paneling thickness (about 3/16") the one source I found for thin panels did not offer it in silver. I got a sample and painted it, but it flaked off too easily. Does any body offer silver plastic trim to join diamond plate that is about .050 thick? The diamond plate is actually .030, but the trim has to be able to go over the raised diamond portion also. Any thought?
