When I bought my mod 77 I gave my old b&d circular saw to my brother. Now I'm in the market again for another lighter weight circular saw. Are there any current production circular saws with the diamond shape arbor that are not worm drive? It would be nice to be able to swap blades between the saws when I'm in a pinch.

one can replace the knock out arbor back into the blade for use on a saw without the diamond shape, put the blade on a good surface, and place the knock out over the blade and tap back in with a hammer, the end of a 4x4 works well for an "anvil" to set the blade on,

done many times in the past,

Don't ask.
I generally place the knock-out in the blade and tighten the blade. I haven't looked for one in a while but replacements "knock outs" adapters used to be shelf items at hardware stores/lumber yards.
