Yesterday I went to several yard sales and did well. I found a small air compressor and parlayed it down to $15.00.
At another sale I spotted the Diamond Handy Boy pliers in a glass case. I played dumb and ask about them. When the man said $5.00 I thought it was time to get my money out. I have been wanting a Handy Boy for a few years.
This one seems to be in fine condition. It doesn't have the "Hammer Head" pliers jaw ends that I have seen on some others that I have seen on the board.
I remember seeing a man at the local gas station carrying a set of these in his leg pocket of his overalls when I was a small boy. I wasn't much taller than his pocket back then. Dad had brought me along to gas up his pickup and we went inside to have a soda and catch up on local events. It only took around 50 years for me to get a pair of my own.
