“Attention K-Mart shoppers....“

Some countries like Japan and the UK have a workwear fashion fetish.
Hence the reason you have the Carhartt “Work in Progress” like of clothes.
Carhartt also rebrands products for sale in their stores and on their website, like wallets and and even a carhartt branded Estwing hammer.
I guess Dickies decided to do the same thing for the Japanese markett.
If the sockets are decent, Why Not.
It’s no worse than Harley-Davidson putting their name on all sorts of stuff, and probably better than all the cheap **** Snap-On has licensed their name for.

My thoughts too. American brands, especially older established brands like Dickies are very popular in Japan. It's a smart marketing move. As for the tools, they might be great. We've seen lot's and lot's (and LOT's) of high quality tools sourced from Taiwan. Why should these be any different?

I've got a Carhartt wallet it was a gift from my wife. Carried it everyday for about 3 years and still good as new.

I think a Carhartt rebrand Estwing would be kinda cool.

Hell even if the tools were only halfway decent I might still buy that set for the case alone if nothing else. There's a lot of good tools out there, unfortunately they all seem to come in cheap plastic ****. A nice case even to just transplant tools into would be nice.

Just saw that and the rest of the lineup a few days ago at Factory Gear store in Japan.
Just another way for an established brand name in Japan to diversify their product line-up. It's clearly marketed for the DIY'er, a Dickies' fan or not.
