sniping... can work for yeah or frusterate you... lol :uzi::deadhorse:shoot5:

Not intending to stir anything up, but anyone frustrated by being outbid by a closing-seconds bid should only be frustrated at themselves for not bidding the max they'd really go (if they woulda gone more). You can only lose to someone that wants it more, and not to someone with some secret trick for manipulating the system (shill bidders not included of course).

And again, not trying to stir stuff up, but just for discussion purposes, how would one go about "not allowing" closing seconds bidding, aka "sniping"?

Gunbroker.com does it by extending the bidding time automatically each time there is a bid. If there are no bids, it ends on the scheduled ending time, but if a bid happens within 15 minutes of the scheduled close of bidding, the time is extended. This continues until no new bids are received, at which time, after 15 mins. the auction ends.

Wow, what a sweet set!

Wasn't me by the way.

Need a 3/8" Powr-Kraft in that style wrench, and the 13/16" and larger, if they exist.

PM sent.

Not me again! I had some out on some Mac wrenches. And that was it.
I'll throw a few low snipes out every so often. But if any one really wants the item and bids a decent price they will beat my snipes.

I'm usually just a bit over the starting prices. But it's amazing how often that scores. A lot of people seem to look and don't see a bid and either go on or else they just bid the starting amount.

Yeah, Gunbroker's anti-snipe thing *****, though. If you want something, bid the max you're willing to spend on it. If you don't want to do that, well, then, ***** if you get sniped, but too bad.
