Did Armstrong make it’s own adjustable wrenches?

Just wondering. Looking at one I found online and was wondering. Also, if anyone has any, are they happy with them.

Thanks.

Doubtful.
I presume Armstrong was using Crescent made wrenches, or maybe Western Forge made wrenches.
It probably varied by decade.
After 2010, the Adjustables were more likely to have been Crescent, since Armstrong was part of the Apex Tool Group to which Cooper Tools, the owner of Crescent belonged.

You know Normie, like the chinese, Crecent can build good a good wrench. As long the buyer specs a good wrench : )

Armstrong at one time was a stand alone company weren't they? I mean before Danaher acquired them.
-Yes they were. The plant was located in the Jefferson Park neighborhood near the CTA yard (Elston Ave.) close to where I lived. They also made tooling and lathe tool holders (lantern type) for machinists. Now and then there would be a sale of "seconds" at the plant and I'd purchase hand tools with cosmetic "blems" for a fraction of new price.

The later USA made Crescent wrenches were loose as f@ck.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a dime could fit in the crack between the dynamic jaw and the frame.
