I've been cleaning up a bunch of rusty hardware and tools, using various methods, and cleaning them up with a wire wheel on the grinder. I realized that it was time to change the wheel today. Old wheel is on the left, new one on the right:

So whaddya think - did I get my money's worth out of the original wheel?

Nope, you have to cut it so that it will cut wood, then cut that so it will cut plastic, then cut that so it will drill, then use it to make your dining room table level, then maybe you would have gotten your money worth.

i am not a fan of the straight frizzle wire wheels. i like the ones where they use the frizzle wire wrapped in large strands like rope. they seem to be a tad more aggressive and last a little longer.

must wear safety glasses. they do fly out and will stick into your skin
