1st and foremost... Contact the seller, find out what's going one.. Maybe he sold multiple items and entered the wrong tracking info on your transaction page.

Regardless your protected $$$$ wise...

I don't know about ebay but I was just screwed by the horrible company Paypal which is owned by ebay.

I just won an auction and I get an error every time telling me I can't use the card. I entered it in 4 times and get the same error and it's my bank debit card with plenty of money in it and I use it on many sites with no problem.

Turns out if the same card is associated with a paypal account you have it wont work. They locked my account years ago with no reason at all. I never did anything shady with my account. So years ago when that happened i called them and they wanted me to mail them copies of my drivers license and other ****. I said f it because i did nothing wrong in the first place why should i jump through hoops? I hardly ever use ebay so I said forget it. So years went by and now I want to use ebay because i read you don't need a paypal account to buy on ebay now. So the only reason why i used ebay now is because i didn't have to deal with that horrible paypal...but turns out they still process the payment!

So now i gotta call these crooks or else risk a negative feedback on my ebay account. I swear I have no idea how they lasted this long. Look at the facebook page they have tons of complaints of locked out accounts. Plus tons of websites about how bad paypal is.:mad:

Once you reach a certian limit with Paypal you must be verified. You send them acc and routing numbers, they make 2 small deposits in your account, you contact your bank, let them know the ammounts and you are done. I have been through the process 2 times (caused I switched banks) with no ill effects. Also if you have online banking they can do an immediate verify, I dont bank online so I dont know about this option. I accutually prefer paypal, as opposed to giving my card number to everyone, and they have buyer protection. Plus its a lot less typing cause they know who you are and where you live.

I've never had paypal problems. I have had a package end up at the wrong address before, however. Just contact the seller. Sometimes they are shipping to multiple people and addresses get mixed up. I was very fortunate and had a seller who worked with me on it every day until I had my correct package.

Contact seller and work with him first, then go through eBay. I have had similar experiences, sometimes the seller gives out wrong tracking, the post office has a mistake or something that is easily fixed.

Paypal is the best thing since hard handle ratchets...:D

Can be a little tedious to get things set up but after that it only takes a couple of clicks to buy things. Well worth it to me.

To the OP, contact the seller first to see if they can help. It's always recommended and eBay suggests it also. Give them a chance to fix it first. You are still covered by eBay if the seller can't or won't help though.

eddie, contact the seller and tell them of the troubles. If they are a business, they can take your card directly. If they are private, offer to send a USPS MO.

Of course, you will have no protection, but that's the only way I do business.

I'm not "sure" this works, but don't see why not, most credit card companies will issue you single use credit card numbers for a specific amount, no plastic, just numbers from a web page or phone via the issuing bank.
