Most people looking for Wilton's are looking for the bullet vise. They are both machinist and tradesman vises.

For 30 bucks, made in USA, , fits your needs, I say you did good

I personally wouldn't have, but if you have been needing a vise, tired of looking, well problem solved. It's a solid little vise, clean it up and use it.

Cool it fit my need and seemed like a decent price.

There you go.

those open screw type vises need to re greased fairly often and it looks dry now. if you are not able to take it apart no big deal but it's easier to grease everything. open the jaws wide put some nice silicone type grease on the screw and maybe open and close a couple times and then re grease and you are set.

looks like a solid little Wilton that should last years and by the way don't use the anvil to hammer on and get a small piece of RR track to do that job.

also with an open screw you might remember to cover it up with a rag to catch the shavings if you are drilling or sawing something in the jaws to keep the shavings from getting on your grease and into your screw area.

good luck

Nice,
Open leadscrew=oil, not grease.
Grease becomes a magnet for filings, and grind dust-----turns into a great rubbing/grinding compound.

You didn't score...

However, you did get a "almost ground rule double"...

Barely...

If it works for you, then it works...
