I agree it looks like a Vidmar cabinet, but it looks weird with the offset drawer pulls and what looks like drawer locks on the side. It might pre-date when Stanley bought out Vidmar in 1966.

To me, the $700 is a bit much for that cabinet, I think about half his asking price would be more acceptable.

It does look like it could have been an earlier offering but unless you really need the drawer dividers I’d pass. For under $100 in most markets you could buy a lateral file cabinet and accomplish most of the same goal.

You could order Stanley Vidmar boxes in any configuration you wanted. I would assume that was a special drawer configuration for the original purchaser. Look up Vidmar on the internet and you can still get that box. You pick a standard box and then a drawer configuration that works for you. Then any other options you want. It's quite a ordeal to order new boxes that are not standard, so many options and choices. You can easily double the price of a box with dividers and small boxes. I see in one picture a bunch of dividers.

"The reason I'm selling it so cheap". Lmfao!

How bout "the reason I'm trying to break it off in you for this 40yr old cabinet is there's some ***** out there falling for this line of BS"

I'd go maybe 250 since you're not going to be able to get slides for it in the event those are beyond refurbishing. $700 is a pipe dream. Hell my center cabinet didn't cost me that much and it was new except for some very minor shipping damage which can't be seen or impacted the performance of the drawers.

OP, if you're considering this I'd suggest you search out out forum vendor who sells both new and scratch n dent stuff.

Ya man, here ya go. Take a look at their junk pile stuff. Normally Joe would post up from timi to time when they got new stuff in but I haven't seen anything lately. You might contact him just in case the new site isn't updated.

Nope, I'd buy an old file cabinet before this. I was just curious if this was legit, and thought $700 for this POS would give some a chuckle :D
