Die Grinder Bit to Enlarge Hole?

I need to "oblong" a hole in a frame rail. I have a die grinder but need a metal bit that will accomplish this. I don't see anything on the Northern Tool or Harbor Freight sites (the two closest stores).

Any recommendations on what type of bit to serach for and where to find it locally?

Just remember, if you ever use it on aluminum, it removes material alot faster than it does on steel.

what you want is a rotary file

Those ones look to be more for aluminum. You want the little small flutes that are broken up for steel like tipsymcstagger posted. I usually search carbide burr.

Carbide burr. Wear a good faceshield and safety glasses and gloves. They throw nasty metal splinters

Make sure you got good control. If you go at it the wrong way it will kick another way, possibly scoring something else.

Or jig saw with metal cutting blade.

I always wear my motocross goggles, got metal in my eye before with regular safety glasses in the shop. The splinters are like tiny needles.
