as an auto service tech apprentice its about time i get a angle die grinder. i willing to shell out the money for a good one but is 1/3 horsepower enough or should i step up to 1/2 horsepower. I don't do much fabrication yet, and just for general automotive repair which horsepower should i get? And is there an industry standard that everyone has, or is there several to chose from? I'm going to ask the people in my shop tomorrow but want to know what garage jurnal has to say first.

i'm assuming you mean air tools.......how much air do you have?

i have 4, 1/3HP Dotcos, in 38 years, 1 bad bearing that's it:thumbup:

the cylinder head wizard Jerry Branch only uses Dotcos......1/2HP ones but he has LOTS of air
