Die grinder VS angle grinder

Hey guys. I was wondering if buying a cordless Milwaukee angle grinder could do the same tasks as a die grinder, as far as cutting. Do they sell thin disks for angle grinders? I know a die grinder is also used for deburring, but I've always just used them as cut off wheels. Cordless die grinders seem to be underpowered compared to air.

Yes, die grinder is a rather generic term. You comparing a straight vs a right angle,,, which I actually like better for cut off.

I have several corded 4 and 1/2 inch angle grinders . one is set up with a thin metal cutting disc ( I get them at HF ) bulkier than an air powered cut off but works well. never tried a cordless angle grinder. for tighter spaces I use my dremel with a small metal cutting disc.

Yes, die grinder is a rather generic term. You comparing a straight vs a right angle,,, which I actually like better for cut off.

All I've used really is s right angle as well, straight ones I only see useful for reaching deep spaces in a car. I've got a cordless sawzall, but sometimes it's not practical. Neither is a cordless angle grinder, but it's a bit easier to handle for smaller tasks. I mean, really I need a right angle die grinder, but I don't use an air compressor at home anymore.

What other attachments besides grinding and wire wheels do you guys have and use with angle grinders?

Cup brushes--they remove rust in a jiffy.

A cordless grinder is no substitute for a corded grinder tool. It eats batteries like crazy. It's a necessary tool for a junkyard, or out in the yard, but you still want one or several corded ones. They'll cut the same, maybe a little slower.
