Nice place to park a nice car.

What do you think of your DeWalt compressor?

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I've gotten a lot of inspiration from this forum over the past year. I'm working on putting up some cabinets, and building a new workbench. Will post more later!

Super nice organized garage. I like the Dewalt Compressor. It seems to fit about anywhere. Having a nice clean shop makes you want to work in it. Everything looks great to me.

The DeWalt compressor hasn't let me down. I mostly use it for impact work, never for continuous duty stuff like painting. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I like having a computer there too. I thought I could use it for the OBD scanner, but the long USB extension I have makes the scanner not work. Definitely nice for looking up stuff while working.

Been busy the past couple weekends. Made some cabinets and put em up, built a new workbench and rollout box for more storage and work surface:

Yeah, after looking at your thread, mine does look maybe 2-3 feet wider. I try to keep it pretty clear on the sides so I can maneuver the floor jack and stands.

Yes i agree. Along the sides its key to eliminate everything or put it up high. I have to employ that trick for the illusion of width haha. Is that your first dub? Or what have you owned previously.

This is my first VW. Bought it back in 2008 new and have been crazy about it since. I like the mk4 models, they have a great austere kind of look to them. The new jettas and GLIs I'm not so crazy about. Your new Golf is sharp, though. Is the GLI stock, or modded? Are you into any motorsports?

Thanks dude. Golf is pretty stock minus a couple of esthetic tweaks (tint, smoked indicators, debadged, etc) . The GLI is modded but i really kept with an OEM + look so the changes aren't blaring, although they are numerous. It came with a ton of factory add-ons for this specific year which is why i wanted it so bad. Yes i agree the newer GLI's are not nearly as appealing. I can tell you that it wont be your last dub or German ride. I'm onto my eighth right now.

I've yet to try any motorsports, although i would love to I'm scared of the possible bills that I'll run up haha.

I was kind of worried about that too, but autocrossing is pretty safe and you can get into it pretty cheaply. The best mod for any kind of racing is tires, and you do use them up quickly. Then, you get the bug and want to upgrade this and that. It's a downward spiral but you'll be descending happily.

I love the real life versatility of the GTI...really an amazing car. I'm really in love with the Audi S5. Just thinking about the sound of that car makes me feel tingly and warm:rocker: Yeah, I'm hooked.

Yes the GTI is a perfect car for your situation, fun on the track and easily able to do anything else you need done, WITHOUT breaking the bank to boot! And yes the S5 is very sweet, a co-worker of mine had one, I've always had a thing for an S4. You should check out this vid a buddy just sent me the other day from APR tuning. They did up a new TTRS, when from about 340HP to 600HP, a true beast!

Last week I picked up a Hazet Assistent, very exciting as I've been searching for one for quite some time. The metal is in pretty good shape, and it has the original Continental tires! Over the summer I'll probably strip it and repaint it.

A couple of my friends were headed up there. I was stuck doing yard work. But this weekend I'm thinking about going to the Watkins Glen 6 Hour Race. There is an Audi Club event going on there too. Unfortunately it looks like rain! And I am from the Tonawanda area. How about yourself?
