Hey guys I need a set of piston ring pliers and I was wondering what you guys use. I work on various types of engines like Cummins ISL ISX, ISM,CAT C13,C10 and some Detroit series 60. I'm looking for something that may be able to work on all of them. Any help is appreciated ...

Thank you for the input I really appreciate it.

I just use my damn fingers.

I usually do too but the C13 rings don't feel to good on my fingers lol.

I worked in the engine development lab od a Diesel Engine manufacturer for a large part of my career. We always had the mechanics do ring installation by hand because the tools commercially available at the time invariably chipped the chrome or molly / ceramic face at the gap.

Fingers were safer.

Not sure what they use now as I've been out of the lab for several years.
