Difference between two mac pick sets?

Hi all, im trying to find out the difference between two MAC pick sets.
Pick set #1
PS21
PS22
PS23
PS24

Pick set #2
PS21A
PS22A
PS23A
PS24A

I see few visual differences, stamping on the handles mainly, is there any difference in durability between the two?

I don't actually know the answer, but my guess is the set with "A" at the end is a newer designed/redesigned tool. Their customer service has always been great, so I'd start with them on Monday to figure out the actual difference.

i think Loscaldazar is right. the newer ones just have the A in the end. i doubt theres any difference in durability.

I have the A version and they are my favourite picks. Quality steel when compared to cheap picks I have that feel like butter.

My guess is the lettered suffix was added when other grip options were introduced.

I think the PS21 is US made and the PS21A is made in Taiwan.

I have the PS21A and I like the hard handle but the steel is not quite as good as the Snap-on mini-picks.

x2 on the suffix being added due to COO change. The originals had USA on them like the screwdrivers, they lost it once they went A. I cant state any of this with a certainty however my mini pry-bar and pocket screwdriver set with the same handles were from Taiwan. Quality is still good but I do hope they update the picks and pocket screwdrivers to USA MAC Grip handles.

If Mac does it like Snap-on does the A would indicate there is some form of change made to the tool, could be as simple as a script change.

In the picture you can see there are differences between the Snap-on and Mac mini-picks. Williams/Snap-on makes the Case IH picks.

I find that the end of the Mac straight pick bends and I had to straighten it a couple of times

I have the red hard handle Mac picks and the Part #s are PS21a, PS22a, PS23a, PS24a.

They dont say USA on them like the old ones and the shafts spin inside the handle which is really **** if you ask me
