Difference btwn SO KRL7003 and KRL7023 boxes?

Subject pretty much says it all: what is the difference between the Snap on KRL7003 and KRL7023? I can pick up a KRL7003 for around $3k and am wondering if that is a good deal. I am not a pro but I do need a bigger box that can double as a work bench of sorts.

KRL7003 doesn't have the 2nd wide drawer. KRL7023 does because it's a newer model.

And how tall are you? Those KRL7003/7023 boxes are a full row of drawers shorter than the KRL1003/1023.

Im in love with my KRL7023, its perfect height and im 6" tall. Its great for working on top of, a friend on mine has a KRL1023 and it was a ***** to work on top of, so the nitwit went out and added a top to it, now he needs a milk crate to get things out the top. I would have gone longer like an XL series!

I just have the 7022, but I tell you, if there is one thing SO still does right (besides their US made wrenches, and socket sets) it's these babies.. Truly a lifetime investment (if you don't get it stolen!)..

The KRL is beautiful in Silver. My 7023 is black...it's nice... but man that silver is awesome!

I am 5'7" so the the lower height is probably a good thing.

Does 3k seem like a fair price for a good used one? It is difficult for me because 3k is a decent chunk of change and the alternative would be something like the 72" HF box at $1600

A new KRL7023 lists for $9195 so you are basically looking at 1/3 of new price. I would say that yes you are looking at a good deal.

That sounds like a fair price if the box is in good shape.

The krl 7023 is new within the last 3 years or so. Not sure about the 7003.
