Hi,

For my garage, I'm trying to get it to look like or at least styled like our house, or to look not quite like a garage anyway and sort of kind of match the house...

Our house has beveled cedar siding; 1/2" thick...4.5" exposure.

How much different would 3/4" thick and 4.5" exposure on the garage look? What about 3/4" with 6" exposure?

The garage will be 18 ft from the house...

The reason I ask is because the 3/4" stuff is on sale...about 60% of the cost of the 1/2" stuff...

Thanks!
Patrick

The house...linked to facebook...can anyone see it if my privacy settings are set to only friends can see it?

If the house is separate from the garage you should be fine with the difference. Our house has cedar with 4.5 exposure, but my wifes building I have 6" exposure. No one has ever noticed the difference unless I pointed it out. The building is about 15-20' from the house.

Shouldn't really be much of an issue. I would try to keep the exposure down to around
5" though. 6" might be a little too noticeable. IMHO.
