Difference in Wilton Vises

Why are the Wilton bullet vises so sought after? What is the difference in the Wilton vice below for $53? I understand they are good vices, but what makes the bullet so much better?

The first one is an Asian import.

The second one is a USA-made Tradesman model. Much heavier and stronger than the first one, but still not the highest grade Wilton bullet-style.
