Digital scales..

I'm searching for a quality digital scale, the kind you would use for weighing rods/pistons and things of that nature.

I really wanted to find a snap-on one but it seems none of the major tool brands sell scales..

I wanted something nice not some china ****..

Whaddya think?

For industrial lab purposes I have used Ohaus. They are a quality commercial scale company. I'm sure they will have something that fits your needs.

I found a set of refrigerant scales on Ebay. I bought them to weigh nitrous bottles. Before I took my parts to balanced I weigh the pistons. They were within one/two grams of each other, IIRC. When everything came back from balancing, the numbers were wrote on the pistons when he weighed them. My scale was on with his.

I forget what brand it is but it comes with a case for everything to sit in.

We use mettler toledo. Not that you are looking for the same model but our particulate filter scales cost $40,000!
They are pretty well regarded in the industry...

Another really good brand. My paint mixing scale is from Sartorius.

Well by high end I didnt mean rocket science scales.. I was looking for a tool truck brand scale mostly to invoke the envy of a friend that uses a scale a lot actually, lol. Hey, atleast I can admit it...

If your buddy uses scales a lot he should definitely be jealous of mettler scales.
They do a huge range. We also have 4 ton vehicle scales at work from them.
Just search for mettler toledo on ebay, the thing I like about them is the support is truly first class and they seem to do every single weight combination.

mettler toledo comparable offerings are 10X the price, It's probably worth it but I don't think I need that level of quality/accuracy for weighing engine pieces..

Who does balancing? What do you use?

I forget what brand it is but I use the paint mixing scale I kept when I closed my body shop. It will measure in parts per million or grams to the tenth.
