Dimmer Switch for dimmable LED

I bought these Outdoor String lights two years ago and I put them up last year and at the same time I bought what I thought was the correct dimmer switch, I never used the dimmer until this year after the wife said the lights are to bright.

With the dimmer switch being used, the lights went barely to half brightness or they were off, nothing between when sliding the dimmer, never full brightness like they were when they were directly plugged in(no dimmer).

Does anyone have any other recommendations for a different switch that will work correctly?

Perhaps try the manufactures recommended dimmer for those specific strands.

In my experience, not all dimmers work with all LED setups, even if advertised as such by the same manufacturer. That may be your issue with your current dimmer on your current strands.

Thanks Bogie1632, I don't think those where available when I first purchased those lights 2 years ago. I bought the dimmer switch that was recommended at that time.
