Dimming 0-10v led lights

how is everyone doing this ? i know i need to run more wires for the low voltage , what wire size is every one doing ? any codes needed to be followed?

using a Lutron DVSTV dimmer if that is any help

Code wise, because it's low voltage, you can pretty much do what you want. Just follow common and safe wiring practices.

However.....looking at the specs on that dimmer....you do realize you need the driver or power pak for it? right?

The output (0-10v) is a control signal limited to 50ma or less. Hence, 18g wire is more than enough

This dimmer does NOT drive the LED lights directly.

For the DVSTV, it's just purple to purple, gray to gray, white to white and black to black.
18 or 16 solid wire will work fine. No code for the purple and gray wires. All codes apply to the black & white.
They make an aluminum MC cable now that has all the wires in it. It makes for a much easier installation when you can run all the wires in the same jacket.
The DVSTV does not use a power pack unless you go over 8A of load.

yes on the lights I'm getting have the power packs /drivers on them.

have a basement in my parents house, very low clearance on the drop ceiling and need to use the led panel lights, they have dimming capable so why not use it just never hooked up this style of lights before
