Dimming LED flat 2x4 panel lights

I wired up 2 Hykolity LED 2x4 5000k flat panel lights over my workbench in the garage. The light is good except except at night when it’s a bit too bright so now I want to dim them. I read that I need to wire the 2 dimmer wires with 18 guage wire to a certain kind of dimmer. Does anyone have any information or suggestions on a dimmer?

I also have one other light (right over my toolbox) in this circuit that does not have the extra wires for a dimmer like the 2x4 flat panels have. This 1’x2’ light over my tool box is also an LED flat panel - I got it from Home Depot and it doesn’t have extra wires for dimming (although it is dimmable) - it only has a black, white and green wire.

How do I hook up these 3 lights on the same switch so they can be dimmed? The two big lights use two extra 18g wires out to the dimmer and the smaller light is dimmable but does not have specific wires with which to dim. I hope that makes sense. Thanks

I've read where some LEDs are dimmable and others are not. It may be that the dimmer switch actually pulses the light. I am not certain, but I would do more research.

You cant.
But you can get dimmers that look the same and put them into the same wall box.
The ones with the extra wires is low voltage dimming. The one with no extra wires is line voltage dimming. The two technologies are completely different and so the dimmers are different.
For the low voltage dimmers, there are hundreds of manufacturers. You can find the style that you like on amazon, prolighting.com, 1000bulbs.com, etc. They will be described as " 0-10VDC dimmers"
The line voltage dimmers are a little more complicated. There has to be compatibility between the dimmer and the light. The most common ones are by Lutron. Look for Skylark C-L or Diva C-L.

Thank You Cybrdyke - That’s exactly what I was looking for. I have never used low voltage dimming lights. I will wire them up separately and use 2 dimmers.

I don’t think you can legally put the dimmer wiring and switch in the same box as the 120V on/off switches unless you buy the more expensive wiring that is rated for the same 600V as the 120V wiring. I did this. Otherwise run the dimmer wiring using cheap alarm or bell wiring to a separate dimmer switch box. The 0-10v dimmers that don’t do the 120v power are cheaper.
