Could anyone point me to a on line source to purchase reasonably priced DIN rails and box's?

I would prefer metal cases, but if the plastic ones are a lot cheaper I may entertain them.

Much thanks as always . . .

I love http://www.automationdirect.com/
fast service good prices

Worst POS PLC ever made.....hate the hardware......software even more....

But if your buying DIN rail.....it's fine....you don't have to deal with the software....

For boxes....I'm kind of a Hoffman guy....pricey...but good stuff....

For general purpose stuff...and decent prices....Newark...

And if your look at cheap terminal blocks.....Entralec, Wago and Allen Bradley....

I am not necessarily fond of there PLC's, but I am an AB snob, when it comes to those

But if your buying DIN rail.....it's fine....you don't have to deal with the software....I use their DIN Rail, switches, power supplies, pilot lights, branch protection circuit breakers, etc

For boxes....I'm kind of a Hoffman guy....pricey...but good stuff....
The Weigman boxes from Automatio Direct are on par with Hoffmann, and I buy a couple a week

I have NEVER heard Allen Bradley and cheap in the same sentence.

Snob? I wouldn't call it that....I would call it smart. I love the ControlLogix series...

Weigman is a good box...we use those as well....but I don't see that much of a difference in price. Plus, we get really good pricing from our dist.

I was working my way up the price chain....you know, low to high....but then again, when you buy enough of the stuff....beat up on your dist for good price breaks and look at the delivery times...AB is a good value.

Here is one of my recent panels.....I think you will recognize some of the stuff in it....
...not shown is the 10" PanelView touchscreen.....now those things are pricey....

It's a control panel for a small autoclave (7' in dia).

What is not shown are the Agilent 34970A's which measure 72 thermocouples and 24 vacuum transducers. I'm controlling the Agilent's with the PLC using a 2 port serial card.
