I busted out a patio this weekend and with no vehicle access to the back yard. I'd like to rent something with a bucket to scoop up pieces and drive them to a haul off in the driveway.

The pieces average around football sized. Would a dingo with a bucket be able to handle this?

Yes. I would run either the veermer or ditchwitch model first, then the bobcat. The dingo would not be on that list though.

I just got done doing the same thing. I was installing a new deck only to find out that the previous owners sodded over the broken up pad. It took me a day to use my Prodigy, which is pretty much the same as a dingo. It worked awesome.

I gotta ask. What is a Dingo? We talking skid steer ot terramite? Never heard of a Dingo....

I used one a couple times. Toro makes the Dingo, sort of a smaller walk behind bobcat with different attachments. you rent them at home centers. I think it would work fine in that situation. advantage is it's smaller, easy to transport, cheap to rent, and easy to use without any real training.

But a bobcat is more fun!

Well, I just got a quote for a guy to haul it all out for $365. I cant rent the equipment and haul it off myself for that price. I couldn't book him fast enough.

Around here, one can dump a full pickup truck sized load of concrete for $35. If you had any sort of downslope and could run a 2x10/2x12 ramp to the back of a bed, you too could probably do the job as well with a wheelbarrow and a couple gallons of iced tea :). The thing I would be careful of, using any kind of powered bucket, is you have to push against something to fill the bucket....easy at first but gets harder as the amount of material on the ground decreases.

I'd have to make several trips to the dump at $35 each visit if I used my truck. The mini track loader is going to run 165.00 for the day minus fuel. I have no interest in using my back and a wheelbarrow as it's about a 60 yards from the back to the front.

The Dingo could have done it, but it looks like you found someone to take care of your problem. Of all the mini track loaders I liked the Dingo the best. So much that I bought a TX-413. It's easy to learn. You can adapt much less expensive Power-Trac attachments. We have a bucket, teeth, a custom log lifting fork, a brush hog, a stump grinder, a 3 foot and a six foot snow plow. It's my big dumb friend that likes hard work. And, I don't have to bail him out of jail Saturday morning to get him to help me.
