I have a Direct Lift Pro-Park 7 that i bought used about a year ago and have noticed the Hydraulic Cylinder is leaking where the shaft enters the cylinder. I have called around and seems the replacement cylinder (part #YG02-9100G) is about $550.00. I have searched google trying to find the dimensions to see if i can find a generic from northern tool but am struggling to find any information. Had anybody ever replaced the Cylinder with a generic? Any information would be a huge help. I am having a hard time finding anybody to rebuild the cylinder as i have checked that route as well. Although it is only a few drips a day it makes a mess and does not allow me to park another car under the lift.

Thanks Guys!!

pull the cylinder and take it to a hydraulic repair shop . they maybe able to reseal it. I had a used lift I bought and that was what I did . I have a propark seven but never had a problem yet. do you have a place called industrial hose supply up there. if they dont sell it they can probably refer you to someone who does. they have locations throughout the country from what I remember

Why not get ahold of Direct Lift? They are a huge company and likely have the seal in stock near you. They probably even have a service person available if you don't want to deal with it.

Well that *****. In that case, yes call around to get a price and if less than $550, pull the cylinder out and take it to a hydraulic cylinder repair shop. If no takers, then it looks like you're gonna be out $550 bucks. Sorry man.

The local hydraulic shop fixed my cheap trans jack for 40 bucks. They had to mic the shaft and order the O rings for it then they put the shaft on the lathe to make sure it was still straight before they reassembled it!!

I have the same lift and had a leaky cylinder a few years back. Bought the complete seal kit- YG02-9180 and had a hydraulic shop do the rebuild. They charged me around $200.
