I recently made some welding table clamps for less than $4 that I really enjoy. It only took a few minutes per clamp to make, and all you really need is a grinder, and a welder!
I bet you could even use these on a wood workbench to clamp down any other projects you guys might have!

Dirt Cheap Welding table Clamps

I started with just some cheap clamps from Harbor Freight, but I also used the same process on a broken Irwin quick clamp and it came out good too!

What do you guys think?

Gotcha on the press, didn't see the LHS upright post first time around.

The inspiration for my clamps (the one on the right) came from an old TAB book #1360 "Making & Using Your Own Tools & Workshop Accessories" ISBN 0-8306-0032-9 PG #301.

It is basically lengths of 2 X 1/4" angles welded together. The other is just junk box bar stock welded up.

Can scan that page if anyone is interested.

Wesley Treat does some fantastic work! He is also a lot of fun to watch!

I am working on a design for my own welding table, I didn't go with the Certi-flat top, Just 3/8th thick that you see in my videos. but I will be copying some of his retractable caster design, along with some tank holders, and shelf to hold my welders. I also hope to put in some draws for all my welding supplys (tig nozzles, tungsten, lenses) I just need a few more trips to the scrap steel pile to get the last bit of stock I need!
