I have tried a lot of concrete cleaners even the ones mentioned here but I have yet to find a cleaner that will remove 100% of the stain. They will make it look better, they will dim it, but in the end you can always tell there was a stain there. The problem is concrete is porous and the oil penetrates the surface and gets wicked down into the concrete. The cleaners remove what is on top but the oil that has penetrated below the surface is very difficult to remove.

Muriatic acid doesn't clean concrete like people think. It doesn't eat up the oil stain, it breaks down the surface of the concrete to profile it and leaves the oil behind to soak back in. It's a common mistake that leads to epoxy failure. You always want to clean your concrete including removing all oil stains the best you can before you use muriatic acid.

I've used the oil dry. Take a broom work it into the concrete, trick is a little elbow grease and a little time. I tried this on a floor that was about 40 years old, almost looked new when I was done.

I used the gallon jug of HD degreaser from Sam's Club took the oil stain right off. Only about $10 a gallon. use it straight 100% strength.

The trick is to use an absorbent and a cleaner both. Regardless of if its a combination of oil dri and tide or the products we sell. The goal is to remove the stain but also to remove the oil that soaked in.
