Older USA made Milwaukee 10" Magnum Compound Sliding Miter Saw model 6496 series 882B needs the Bearing Support Assembly replaced. The assembly is two halves, and each half has a small semi-circular ridge on the top rear that the bevel cut housing rides inside of. This ridge is broken off of both halves - the saw must have twisted at some time, probably dropped, and snapped off those cast ridges. The saw cuts fine as is, but when you adjust the miter bevel you have to make certain that the bevel assembly is riding where it's supposed to before you lock it down because that little guide ridge is missing. The part is $85, worth it to me because I like things to be correct.

Has anyone disassembled/reassembled one of these saws before? Any tips or warnings? I can't find a service manual or repair forum anywhere on the web for this saw.
