Disassembled Parts Covers

My coworker has three huge, 2ft by 4-5ft, shop rags that he uses to cover tear downs that aren't immediately going back together but for the life of me I can't find anything like it for myself. The reason I like his is no lint, heavy so they don't blow off and they hold a bit of oil/grease so there's no rust or dust. Unfortunately he received them as a hand-me-down from another mechanic so that's a dead end for me.

Or old sheets... ask the wife first before taking 'em off the bed

Maybe super large microfiber towels? searching google I can find these 2'x3' in size

At work I've used a plastic garbage bag placed over the parts and then a large bath towel over that plastic bag which is heavy to keep from blowing off yet doesn't get lint on the parts because the plastic is layered in between plus they don't get stained.

At my home shop if I am getting short on bench space I've gone the plastic tote route and stored parts in large plastic bins when I know it will be a while before going back together such as waiting on parts.

I use cloth fender covers. I also have a bunch of cheap bath towels from Wal Mart. I think they are less than $3 each and are probably about the size you mentioned.

look up fender covers on ebay, less than 10 bucks.

And fender covers for the win, probably wouldn't want to use them for that after being washed with shop rags but perfect for my use. Thanks guys
