I have a Rockwell 1HP 12" disc sander. It was wired for 120V with a Baldor 01300 capacitor. I rewired it to 240V and now need to replace the capacitor as it is only rated for 125V. The motor is indeed setup to run on 120V or 240V (followed the wiring diagram on the side of the motor). The capacitor is rated at 850-960 MFD. Can someone point me to a source for a capacitor rated at 240V and 850-960 MFD? Checked Amazon and came up empty. Thanks all.

I've never seen a motor that can be wired to use either 120V or 240V require that the start cap be replaced.

Do not replace the capacitor. It is fine for how it's wired in the circuit

For 240 volt you have no. 2 and 3 hooked with either no. 5 or 8 we call this center tapped the start capacitor will only see 120 volts.

You Sir, are THE Man. I didn’t know that, thank you. I am replacing the capacitor because it is bad. It was bad prior to my choice to swap it to 240v. I have had the sander for years. I recently moved and built a new garage. The capacitor went bad prior to moving. I had to run a new circuit to the sander and decided to swap it over to 240v since I have to run a circuit anyways. Thanks all.
