I just had a new Quincy compressor delivered and I'm planning my installation. There's an ON/OFF switch as part of the pressure switch, and it'll be on a breaker 30 feet away. I'm trying to decide if I should have a disconnect at the wall. All my electric is in 3/4" EMT. Waddaya think?

If it's within direct sight of the breaker a disconnect isn't required, but having said that it's not a bad idea. They usually don't cost much, and if nothing else it provides a handy spot for making the final connections to the compressor - you'll need a junction point on the wall anyway.

This topic does come up pretty often in the electrical section, you can check there for previous discussions.
