anybody else like the red and black pros? ive been piecing a collection together from leftover stock. my sears is cleaned out other than a few torx drivers but what they did have was on clearance cheap, kmart has none and ace hardware is getting thin but still full price like up to 15 bucks each for longs. I bought 1 of everything I could find local, ebay has even more crazy prices on individual and sets. what ya got and how ya like them?

They're decent but I think they're subpar to a lot of other stuff in the same price range/cheaper. Low end stuff torx I have a bunch of ampro which is incredibly similar, drivers I prefer crescent dura drivers. Unbolstered/striking a screwdriver is pretty much a screwdriver in my opinion; snap on guys will yell at me but that's what I feel. I use all sorts of **** screwdrivers, rather have a selection even if I don't need a selection plus bit socket/bits.

They're just trying to sell you a **** ton of redundant stuff...even the craftsman crystals are decent screwdrivers especially for torx. I've had those for 10 years without any issues and use them all the time (electronics though).

The western forge (?) craftsman cushions you mention are nice and I have no problem using them if they're cheap enough and sometimes they are cheap enough; I think 20 bucks for a decent set recently. But...individual cost nah; torx set probably nah. If you're a mech your torx should be socket or bit or both.

I have a set of Craftsman Pro I bought 7 years ago, $30 for a 12 piece set. As others have said they're good, not great. I use them at work where they don't see frequent, hard use. I can probably sell them for what I paid to a coworker and replace them with a set of Williams, which are much better and more comfortable to me.

Odd that that was the first Cman product I had that failed within minutes of first use... loosening the choke adjustment on a Carter AFB (not a demanding operation) shaft spun in handle, warranty time...

They're a decent screwdriver, but not anything I would go out of my way to find. I think they're in the same league as the better Harbor Freight screwdrivers.

LOL..had to read that twice to believe it. Perhaps the WORST tool craftsman ever made. About as soft and sure to fail on use as one made out of butter. Someone needs to show this poor bloke the light.

I would put them far above the HF offerings. I have a complete set and a torx set and use them daily with no issue. No breaks or anything worn to date. About 2 years of use at this point
